ART DIRECTOR & DESIGNER

STEINER EDUCATION GROUP

scope:
Multichannel Marketing, Social Media, Content Systems, Environmental Graphics

THE CHALLENGE

Steiner Education Group operated 18 distinct post-secondary brands across 31 campuses in 14 states, each with its own identity, market needs, and student demographics. While diversity was a strength, the lack of visual and messaging cohesion created inefficiencies in marketing execution and diluted brand recognition across regions.

The challenge was to support individual school identities while establishing a sense of organizational unity and professionalism at scale.

THE STRATEGY

The approach focused on creating repeatable marketing systems rather than forcing uniformity:

  • Respect and preserve each school’s unique identity and local relevance

  • Introduce shared visual standards and messaging principles to improve cohesion

  • Build flexible content frameworks that could be adapted across channels and campuses

  • Emphasize student outcomes, hands-on training, and career readiness

This strategy allowed brands to feel locally authentic while benefiting from centralized creative direction.

THE EXECUTION

As Art Director, I oversaw the design and rollout of:

  • Multichannel marketing campaigns across digital, print, and social

  • Cohesive educational and recruitment materials used across campuses

  • Environmental graphics reinforcing brand presence within physical spaces

  • Content systems that enabled faster production and local customization

Creative decisions prioritized clarity, accessibility, and consistency—ensuring materials could be easily deployed across dozens of locations without sacrificing quality or relevance.

THE RESULTS & IMPACT

Improved Brand Cohesion
Shared visual systems and content standards strengthened the sense of unity across 18 brands while maintaining individual school identities.

Increased Engagement
More consistent, student-focused creative contributed to stronger engagement across marketing and social channels.

Operational Efficiency
Centralized creative direction and modular design systems reduced duplication of effort and improved speed-to-market for new campaigns and materials.

Foundation for Future Consolidation
The cohesion and systems developed during this phase helped lay the groundwork for future brand consolidation—ultimately supporting the transition to a single national brand.
